When the storm passes, we're already moving

Volusia and Seminole counties have been hit hard in recent years — Ian, Nicole, and the steady roll of summer thunderstorms that drop 60+ mph gusts and golf-ball hail. When your roof takes damage, the next 24 hours matter more than you think. Tarping fast prevents interior water damage. Documenting fast protects your insurance claim. And working with a contractor who knows the claim process saves you weeks of back-and-forth.

RDG has been doing storm response work in Central Florida since 2000. We know the local adjusters. We know what insurance companies require for documentation. And we know how to advocate for you when a claim gets pushed back.

Our storm response process

Step 1 — Emergency tarp (within 24 hours)

Call our storm line and we'll deploy a crew to tarp exposed areas. This stops further interior damage and is the first thing your insurance company will want to see was done promptly.

Step 2 — Damage documentation

We take photos and video from the ground, the roof, and inside the attic where possible. We measure damage and create a written report — the same kind of report your adjuster will want to see when they arrive.

Step 3 — Insurance claim support

We meet your adjuster on the roof when they come out. We provide our scope of work and pricing in a format insurance companies recognize. And if your initial claim comes back undervalued — which happens more than you'd think — we help you appeal.

Step 4 — Code-compliant rebuild

Florida building code has tightened significantly since the early 2000s. When we replace a storm-damaged roof, we bring it up to current code — which often means better wind resistance, improved decking attachment, and longer-lasting materials than the original roof. Most of this is covered by your claim.

What this typically costs you

For a covered storm-damage claim, your out-of-pocket is usually just your homeowner's deductible. We work directly with your insurance carrier and bill them for the approved scope. We do not recommend "we'll waive your deductible" offers from some contractors — that's insurance fraud in Florida and can get your claim denied entirely.
